Get information you need to perform the Rescheck from plans. Address where construction will take place, Customer Name, Architect Name, Square ft, will suffice.
Pick the right construction standard for your task. There are state specific code and IECC codes like IECC 2021 (coming soon), IECC 2018 (rescheck web only), and IECC 2015 (available in both Rescheck Web and Rescheck Desktop)
Go to Envelope tab in your Rescheck software.
From your blueprints acquire Sq ft of roof and R Value. Go into programming and enter this data into a ceiling line item on your Rescheck software.
From plans measure your N, E, S, W exterior walls and their R Values. Go into programming and enter this data into a exterior walls line item on your Rescheck
From plans measure your N, E, S, W windows and their U Values and SHGC. Go into programming and enter this data into the windows and glazing line item on your Rescheck
From plans measure your N, E, S, W entryway and their U Values. Go into programming and enter this data into a door line item on your Rescheck
Decide what type of foundation that your construction project will be built upon. Is it a slab, subfloor, basement, or crawl space. Enter the square footage and R Value
Use your mouse to click upon “Compliance” Pass or Fail will be given a score.
Go to “Projects” tab and fill in every one of the areas.
Go to the “Mechanical” tab and fill in every one of the areas
Click your mouse on Save.
Click your mouse upon Print.
Sign Report and submit to your building inspector or building department for checking.
