Today on the Reschexpert blog we want to talk to you about how to get your project moving forward quickly in this busy construction market. Many people still plan to build this year and that means having everything in order including your Rescheck, Comcheck, Manual J, Manual D, and Manual S.

Put your jobsite address on your plans.

This is rule number one of your design tasks. Before you move a bathroom, extend the guest room, trim from the budget, just simply put your jobsite address on your plans. It seems obvious but we receive plenty of submissions that we are left guessing as to where the homes will be built. I do have the ability to research phone numbers, tax records, and IP addresses that submit plans but why not just put your jobsite address on your plans? This will help everyone from the drywall guy to the building inspector. The easier you make life for the building inspector, the smoother your project will go. Add your jobsite address to your construction plans to make your Rescheck, Comcheck, Manual J, Manual S, or Manual D easier today.

Add your square footage to your plans.

We receive plenty of plans with no dimensions and no square footages listed on the plan. This creates a delay in your project because we have to put the project in the “needs more info” basket and ask you for additional information to complete your Rescheck, Comcheck, Manual D, Manual S, or Manual J. During a busy construction season like this year, that can cost you valuable days, weeks and months and turn your Thanksgiving move in, into New Year’s very quickly.

Include a set of plans.

Sometime we receive simply a text email with a jobsite address and square footage but no plans. Again it is impossible to complete a Manual D, Manual S, Manual J, Rescheck or Comcheck without plans to know what you are building, how you are insulating the structure, and what the floor plan consists of. There are some instances in historical homes and remodels where I have had luck researching historical tax record from a town or jurisdiction, but these are few and far between and it is much easier if you include a set of plans with your Rescheck, Comcheck, Manual J, Manual S, Manual D submission.

What is your Order confirmation number.

We are home energy auditors at heart and our only goal at Rescheck.info is to help you build the most efficient homes possible. You can tell that by our ultra low prices and fast turn around times. One thing we ask is that you prepay for your order and email your order confirmation number with your plans. We work on all pre paid order first so this is the number one fastest way to move to the front of the line. In busy times, we spend our days doing energy audits so the pre pay system allows us to focus our time on house plans, Reschecks, Comcheck, Manual J, Manual S, and Manual D. When receive a not pre pay order we then have to devote time to researching if an order was placed, creating an invoice, sending an invoice, reminding you to pay the invoice, then taking payment for the invoice. This can add additional time to any order.

Overall we need plans, jobsite address, and square footage to complete your Rescheck, Comcheck, Manual J, Manual S or Manual D. Everyone is in a hurry, everyone forgot to order yesterday, so please follow these simple tips to make your project as efficient as possible. If you need one of these reports simply email that information to service@rescheck.info and we will get started.
