Recently, when opening we noticed an error message. At the Reschexpert blog we aim to help users of Rescheck Web and Rescheck Desktop understand the software and inner workings of Rescheck reporting better. This Rescheck blog post will focus on the upcoming Rescheck Web Maintenance session.

Simple Instructions to Complete a Rescheck

The REScheck and legacy COMcheck web tools may be unavailable beginning Thursday, June 13, 2024, through Monday. June 17, 2024, for scheduled maintenance. The New COMcheck-Web will still be available during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This was the error message that is present across Rescheck Web and Comcheck Web. What it means is that during a 5 day period the softwares to create Rescheck and Comcheck reports will be down. This means that everyone needing a building permit during this maintenance session may have to experience delays.

Here are 5 things to remember that we have seen during previous Rescheck Web and Comcheck Web maintenance sessions.

You can still use the alternate version of Rescheck and Comcheck software. Rescheck Desktop and Comcheck Desktop.

Most Common Reasons for RESchecks failing

The backup software Rescheck Desktop and Comcheck Desktop are currently being sunset so they have not received all the latest code updates that Rescheck Web and Comcheck Web have. So you may be able to create reports but you might be missing key energy codes like IECC 2021 and some state specific codes.

The outages are brief. This particular outage is set to take place over 5 days. Typically we see it happening over shorter periods like 18-24 hours. This makes us wonder what major changes are about to take place in Rescheck Web and Comcheck Web.

If you can wait to create your Rescheck reports and Comcheck reports until after the outage then you will again have access to creating your reports.

New functionality will be added. These updates typically lead to major changes within the software and reports. We will immediately begin running reports after the update and let you know what changes we find.

Fix Compliance Failed Invalid SHGC or Project is not valid in Rescheck Web.

We hope you are able to navigate this major Rescheck and Comcheck update. We will keep you up to date with the latest notes pertaining to the update right here on the Reschexpert blog.
