Rescheck Web is Live After Unannounced Outage

We recently noticed that the software used to create Rescheck reports online was no longer working.  We immediately took to our Reschexpert blog to explain the situatuion to architects, engineers, contractors, and do it yourself Rescheck creators.

After analyizing the situation, we waited.  Our prediction in the Reschexpert blog post about the Rescheck Web outage was that when the technicians arrived back at office at around 8-9 am Pacific time then Rescheck Web’s server would be reset and Rescheck Web would be back online.  Sure enough, at around lunchtime in the Eastern time zone, Rescheck Web came back online.

At the point Rescheck Web becomes operable again after an outage is when the true work begins.  Rescheck reports that have been on hold are created.  Reschecks that were created with available codes are updated to energy codes like IECC 2018 Rescheck, IECC 2021 Rescheck, and soon the upcoming IECC 2024 Rescheck.

Overall, the outage lasted 12-18 hours like most Rescheck Web outages.  The only real issue was that this particular down time was unannounced.  Basically, you are working on a Rescheck at 5pm and all of a sudden the software disapears.  Then it does not come back for almost a day.  Most of the the creator of Rescheck Web announce the Rescheck outages in advance then we listen and relay that to our readers via the Reschexpert blog.  This unnanounced outage causes increased issues, but nothing that cannot be overcome.
