Urgent Rescheck Web outage has taken place. An unscheduled Rescheck Web outage has taken place and the software for creating Reschecks online has been down for 12+ hours. Typically the maintenance outages are planned and scheduled. For this particular outage it was just lights out with no warning which can make it hard for contractors, architects, engineers, and anyone else trying to generate Rescheck reports online using Rescheck Web.

Rescheck Web Maintenance (Step by Step Guide)

We suspect that when the technicians at the Pacific Northwest Laboratory arrive back on site at possibly 8 or 9 Pacific Time they will realize they have an inbox full of service tickets.

When you click on the Rescheck Web online this is the message you get.

The requested URL was rejected. Please consult with your administrator.

Your support ID is: (They provide a random ticket number that you can send with your service request)

Each time that you visit Rescheck Web it gives you a new Support ID number. This particular error screen on Rescheck is brand new and I have never seen it before. When the outage started the screen was a bit different and looked like the old error messages.

Now that everyone’s online Rescheck software is down worldwide here is what you can do in the meantime:

Download Rescheck Desktop. You can create Reschecks on your desktop using this software suite. It does not include all the codes. However you can create a Rescheck using IECC 2015 and as soon as Rescheck Web comes back online then you can upload the rxl file in Rescheck Web and update it to the newer codes.

Rescheck Web Troubleshooting, Helpful Hints, and Common Questions Feature

Create Reschecks on paper. Get scrap paper and write out Rescheck by hand. When Rescheck Web comes back online go through and enter the data into Rescheck Web.

Wait it out. Usually in 12-18 hours these errors are fixed. We are currently entering this window. I just think that no one at the laboratory is aware of the outage until they arrive at the office this morning and reset the server or perform the required maintenance.

Overall, a Rescheck Web outage where the URL is rejected can be a major pain, but it is not the end of the world. Using the workarounds described above you can continue to generate Reschecks and be ready to move forward when Rescheck Web goes live again.

Thanks for reading the Reschexpert blog and we will keep you posted on when Rescheck Web becomes live the minute that we see it.
